Dear Parents,

This Friday September 28th is Early Dismissal for the students. School lets out at 11:45 am.

Semana Morazanica : No School Monday October 1st - 5th.

Classes Resume on Monday October 8th.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! 

This week is evaluation week for the students. We will be evaluating all the material covered in the first quarter. The students will be evaluated throughout the day.This is a stress free process for them.We include the assessments into their daily activities. Students do not know they are being evaluated. 

The students will be evaluated in the following areas:

Letters Aa, Mm, Pp, Ss, Tt
Your child should be able to:
*Identify each letter,
*Produce the letter sound 
*Identify Vocabulary for each letter
*Produce at least 3 words that begin with the  letter.

Sight Word
Your child should be able to recognize and name the following words:
a, and, the, I, to, it, is, in, you, that, he,was, for, on , are 

Math 
*Identify and name numerals in and out of order 1-11
*Make sets with the numbers 1-11
*Counting Backwards from 10 - 1
*Sequence Numbers
*Write missing numbers
*Count backwards from 10. 
*Name a number that is 1 more and 1 less a given number
*Create Patterns 
*Identify and Name Shapes
 Circle, Square, Triangle, Oval, Rhombus, Rectangle, Heart Star 
*Same/Different
*Sorting objects

Phonemic Awareness: 
*Distinguish between a letter, a word, and a sentence
*Clap syllables
*Beginning sounds
*Identify rhyming words
