I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. This week is a short week due to the el Feriado Morazanico.
Students will be coming to school on Monday and Tuesday.
This will be REVIEW WEEK!
We will be review all the skills covered throughout the first quarter.
Students need to be able to:
LANGUAGE ARTS
- Letters Ss, Tt, Bb, Pp, Mm, and Aa
- Recognize each letter, say the letter name
- Produce the corresponding letter sound
- Produce corresponding vocabulary.
- Identifying a letter/ word/ sentence
- Syllable counting
- Identifying rhyming words and
- Produce beginning sounds.
- We will be evaluating the 21 sight words we have worked with in the class. Your child needs to recognize these words by sight. The sight words they should know are: the, I, and, a, to, in, is, you, that, it, he, was, for, on, are, red, blue, yellow, one, two, three.
- MATH
- Recognize Numbers 1-12 in and out of order
- Making sets to match each number
- Sequence the numbers in the correct order.
- Counting backwards from 10.
- Interpret information from pictographs
FUNDACION ABRIGO – Once again, Discovery School supports Fundación Abrigo in their mission to lodge families from the rural areas who come to Hospital Escuela. We are asking our school families to send 1 gallon of floor disinfectant per family, and to send it in by Monday October 30 th.
There will be no school on Wednesday,
Thursday or Friday. This is the Honduran holiday stipulated by the government. I wish everyone a wonderful and safe holiday.
School resumes on Monday October 10th.
