WEEK OF APRIL 23- 27, 2012

Dear Parents,

Time is flying by really fast. 

This week we will be covering the letter Zz. We are going to be doing a unit about Zoo Animals. The children are going to be able to identify animals that live in the zoo, animals that we can have as pets, and animals that live in the farm.

Wow, this week we will be done with all the letters of the alphabet. This means that we will expose the children to a lot of reading and writing activities.

The end of the school year is always a busy time! Please mark your calendars with all the special activities that are going on in school:

Our students will be attending a talk on Personal Hygene on Tuesday, April24th in the school library.                                      

EARLY DISMISSAL ON WEDNESDAY APRIL 25TH :please remember that children will be dismissed at 11:45.(PM Schedule).

Next Monday, April 30 and Tuesday, May 1 are holidays. 

The School Cafeteria will be hosting its second Parent-Student Luncheon on Friday, May 11. This is an excellent day for parents to come and enjoy delicious food with their child(ren) during lunch time. The menu and pre-order forms will be sent home this week.

WEEK OF APRIL 16 – 20, 2012

Dear Parents,

This week we are going to introduce the letter Yy. We are almost done studying all the letters of the alphabet and the children are very excited to know that they are almost in First Grade.

This is Earth awareness month so we will be discussing how to save our natural resources and planet Earth. Feel free to send any books or information you might have that we could share with the children. We thank you for your help in advance.

DPTO FAMILY/JUNGLE NIGHT!!! – Our annual event will take place this Friday, April 20, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be awesome games and food, and a terrific Choir Sponsored BINGO with fabulous prizes. DON’T FORGET TO COME, dressed as your favorite Jungle animal, and have a tremendous family fun evening

WEEK OF APRIL 9 – 13, 2012

Dear Parents,

Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful Easter Break and were able to get enough rest, or at least spend some enjoyable time with your children. This week we will study letter Xx. 
This week we will talk about extinct animals or animals in danger of extinction
We are almost done with the alphabet and the children are excited to know that they are almost in First Grade.

 DPTO FAMILY NIGHT is scheduled for next Friday, April 20 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. This promises to be a great family evening filled with games, good food and a BINGO. Mark your calendars!!!
