A special thank you to everyone involved in the Character Day Celebration. We are very thankful for the wonderful party, treats, and baskets that you willingly donated for both Kindergarten Classes.

WEEK OF OCTOBER 11 –OCTOBER 15

KINDERGARTEN NEWS

               Dear Parents,
This week we will be doing letter Hh. The word of the week is hen. We will learn about houses and will talk about the different rooms in a house. We will be discussing different materials in which houses are and were made of. The children will get to do a home project in which they will color and decorate their house. Check for instructions in your child’s folder.

Please send your children with a water bottle to school. They need it for P.E. class.

Please make sure your children bring their library books on Monday (K-B) and on Wednesday (K-A). Many have books at home long overdue and cannot check out new books.

We would like to ask you to PLEASE label with your child’s name all the plastic containers, water bottles, sweaters, etc. that they bring to school. We have some objects in our lost and found box and it is hard for the c hildren to identify if they belong  to        them.

Our Character Day celebration  is going to take place on Thursday, October 28th. We need some parents to help us organize this celebration. Please let us know if you would like to help us out!!
Thank you in advance!!!

Thank you to William Davis and Jeremiah fenn who donated the ingredients for last week’s Kindergarten Kafe. The children made a gumball machine out of cookies, crackers, icing, and gum drops. Yummy! This week Nicholas Zacapa and Jose Alberto Molina  will bring the ingredients for our next Kafe.

KINDERGARTEN
       NEWS

This week we will begin working with letter Gg. We will be reading the book Green Eggs and Ham from Dr. Seuss, and the children will get a chance to taste green eggs with ham!!! We will be graphing Gummy Bears!!

G is for Green!!! On Tuesday, October 5th, we are planning to have “Green Day”. The children can come to school wearing anything green. It can be a cap, shirt, pants, skirt, socks, belt, shoes, bracelet, etc. Thank you for your help.

A successful school experience is the responsibility of the child, the parent and the school.  Your child's progress, both academically and socially, is influenced to a great extent by daily participation.  Regular attendance without tardiness is a key. The school day runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please be on time. The morning routine sets the tone for the rest of the day.

We wish to thank Natalia Sherman and Sofia Zanoletty for bringing the ingredients of last week’s Kindergarten Kafe. The kids made a tasty fishbowl out of pancakes, frosting, and fish crackers. This week, William Davis and Jeremiah Fenn will be in charge of providing the ingredients for Kindergarten Kafe.

We would like to wish a happy birthday to William Davis! His birthday is on Friday, October 8th.
