Dear Parents,
We
had an outstanding time last week learning a lot about Dr. Seuss. We would like
to thank each one of you for making the whole week special for your child. They
were all coming to school with a smile on their face and dressed up as we requested
for the day.
Report
cards are around the corner and we are going to be reviewing all the concepts
that we have covered in class. This includes all the letters of the alphabet
studied in this quarter, math concepts, writing CVC words and the sight words.
We are
going to continue talking about Dr. Seuss and watching some of his stories. If
you would like to come in and do a special activity/craft or simply read to the
students, do not hesitate to contact us so we can make it possible.
In
Math we are going to continue working with Fractions. We are also going to be
doing a variety of counting activities from 0 to 50. The
children will also be writing these numbers.
We have talked to the students that we have started
the hot season in Honduras. Please provide your child with a water bottle every
day. Have them wear light clothes; they can bring a hat to protect from the
sun, put sunscreen on their face and arms.
Our
Yearbook pictures will be taken on Tuesday, March 10th. The Kindergarten
students will take it at 9:00 a.m. so we encourage our students to come dressed
nicely!
Friday, March 13 is a holiday! Please take note!
