Hope you had a great Vacation! Can you believe it, October already! Lots of events taking place this month. Please mark your calendar.

Student Led Conferences Friday,October 19th.
We are going to be working with the letter Bb. The vocabulary for this letter is the following: branch, bowling, bench, button, boot, backpack, basket, belt, bicycle, brush, bone, broom, boat, binoculars, and bell.

Some of the stories that we are going to be reading are:

Freda Stops a Bully
Freda loves her new pink shoes. But when she wears them to school, a boy teases her. What can Freda do to make the bully stop?
Bats
Kids learn about one of the most interesting creatures around—and discover the bat’s unique place in the wild and in the world.
Bear Wants More



We will also introduce rhyming words. Students will be able to identify rhyming pairs.

In Math, we will work with number 12. The students will practice writing the number, drawing sets to match the number and sequencing numbers up to 12, count on from a specific number.

Counting on from a specific number, count one more and one less.
We will also work on the concepts
big, medium and small.
Beginning the second quarter homework will be sent home 3 times a week, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY
