WEEK OF DECEMBER 7-11,2015

Dear Kindergarten Parents,
This week we will be discussing Christmas. We will be making Christmas Crafts and reading a lot of stories related to this holiday. Some of the stories that we will be looking at are the following:

If you have any Christmas stories that we could borrow from you, we would appreciate if you send them over with your child to school. We will be returning them before the holiday.

In Math we are going to be working with Number Lines and extending Patterns such as ABBC (apple-banana-banana-orange), AABB (car-car-bus-bus).

Our annual Songfest will take place on Friday, December 11th at 6:30 p.m. Please mark this date and time on your calendar. Take into consideration that this is the time where traffic gets a little bit hectic in this city. We would really like to see all the children in school at 6:00 p.m. so we can go over last details with them. They are all very excited practicing their song every day with a lot of enthusiasm. Your child needs to come in dressed with black pants or leggings, white long sleeve shirt, and ONE white glove with silver sequins.

Santa Claus will be visiting the children for this Christmas Party!!! We are requesting for you to send a gift so Santa can give it to your child. If you have not sent the gift please do so as soon as possible. We are still missing a lot of presents. It would be very sad to see a child without a gift. The gift should not be more than 200 lps. Thanks in advance for your support!

The Christmas Committee met last week and decided on the following: You do not need to send a lunchbox with your child on December 16th. They will be DONATING snack and lunch for all the children on this day. We have planned a variety of fun activities / crafts to do with the children on this day. For this, they are only requesting if you can please send ONE roll of WHITE toilet paper by this Thursday, December 10th. The children will surely have a lot of fun with this project. We would like to give a big thank you to Mrs. Maria Castillo, Eva Molina and Yaneth Corona for being part of this committee.

In Science we are going to be wrapping up our unit of PLANTS. This week the children will have the chance to plant some beans into glass bottles. They are all very excited to see how plants grow and they will all recording the observations they see every day.
