Dear Parents,
This will surely be a very busy week. This week we will be working on letter Pp. This week we will continue with simple one-digit subtraction problems. We will start a unit on plants where we will discuss the different plant parts, how plants grow, and why we need them.
To celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Discovery School will be having a special assembly this Friday, January 18th, at 8:00 a.m. in the gym. All parents are welcome to join the celebration which will last about an hour. Please note that Monday, January 21st., is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and there is no school on that day.
On Wednesday, January 30th, we will celebrate the 100th day of school. The children will be involved in fun activities, and will visit the first and second grade classrooms. Do not forget your children can come to school wearing 100 items on their clothes.
This week we will have Kindergarten Kafe and the child in charge of bringing the ingredients this week is Adriana Estrada. Thank you in advance!
We are going to have a birthday celebration on thursday, please do not pack lunch for this day!!!!
“Children carry more between home and school than a lunch and a backpack. Working together we can lighten their load.” Anonymous quote.
