Week of October 29th - November 2nd


We hope you all had a restful and wonderful weekend! This week we will study letter Jj. This week we will be graphing jelly beans. The children will get to eat them afterwards. Yummy!!!




We are going to be playing some traditional games such as Jumping rope and Jacks. They both begin with the letter of the week!!






This week we are going to be doing some addition activities. We are going to be introducing the signs of plus (+) and equal (=). We will be doing addition problems up to 5.






On Wednesday, the children can come to school dressed up with a costume. They will get the chance to go trick or treating around the school. You do not need to pack a snack or lunch for your child since they will be cupcakes and drinks for them to enjoy. This day is also an early dismissal. Children go home at 11:45 a.m.

There will be a bake sale on Tuesday, October 30. Bring money to support our Seniors in this activity.

This week we will have Kindergarten Kafe and the child in charge of bringing the ingredients this week is Fiorella Alvarado. Thank you in advance!

Week of October 22nd - October 26th

We hope you have all had a restful weekend!

This week we will review the letters that we have studied so far. Your child should be able to recognize letters Aa to Ii with their corresponding sound.
Please help your child print these letters correctly. It might be helpful to practice writing letters with your child in different ways, such as using play dough, salt, and finger-paints!!

We Celebrate The United Nations Day on Thursday, October 25th starting at 8:30 a.m. You are all invited to come!!! Throughout the week the children will be engaging in various activities that will lead up to our school celebration.
This day is also an early Dismissal. The students will be going home at 11:45 a.m. You do not need to send a snack with your child on this day.

Remember that Conference Day will be on Friday, October 26th. Conference sign-up times will be sent home in your child’s folder on Monday. Please return them as soon as possible. We will really like to see everyone make it!!!



We would like to give a big thank you to Ms. Deborah Sheenan and Ms. Marlene Banegas for organizing our Costume Day Celebration. They have decided to donate the baskets the children will be using to go trick or treating around the school. They have also decided to donate the candies, cupcakes and drinks.

Another big Thank You goes to Andres Aguilar for donating the ingredients for Kindergarten Kafe lat week. The children enjoyed decorating their own ice cream cones with gummy bears, marshmallows, and sprinkles.

Week of October 15th - October 19th


We hope you all had a fun and relaxing 4-day weekend!! 
It is nice to be back in school and see each other again. This is going to be a short week that will be filled with 
lots of fun for the 
Kindergarteners!
This week we will introduce letter Ii. We will be tasting, and graphing our favorite 
ice cream flavor.

The children are having a lot of fun writing in their journals every day. Please help your child print the letters of the alphabet correctly. It might be helpful to practice writing letters with your child in different ways, such as using play dough, salt, 
and finger-paints!! It would be helpful if you practice the first 15 Fry Words with them as well.

Our Character Day celebration is going to take place on Wednesday, October 31st.We would like to give a big thank you to Mrs. Deborah Sheenan and Mrs. Marlene Banegas for helping out in coordinating this celebration. We will let you know soon what has been decided for this day.

Our school’s GENERAL ASSEMBLY is on Thursday October 18th at 6:00 p.m. 
Please try to come!

community work, our Seniors are selling tickets for a CASH price raffle that will be held during our U.N. Day Celebration. The first price is L5,000.00, the second price is L3,000 and the third price is L2,000.00 Please support our Seniors by purchasing tickets (only L50 a piece).

Week of October 8th - October 12th

This week we will be doing letter Hh. We will learn about houses and will 
talk about the different rooms in a house. We will be discussing 
different materials in which houses are and were made of. The children will get to do a home project in 
which they will color and decorate their house. Check for instructions in your child’s folder.

ELEMENTARY PARENT LUNCHEON: Our School Cafeteria will be hosting 
theirfirst Parent Luncheon for Elementary parents and students on Friday, 
October19. Pre-order forms with the menu and prices will be sent home on 
Monday.

We wish to thank Cecilia Funez for bringing the ingredients of last week’s Kindergarten Kafe. The children made a gumball machine out of cookies, waffles, peanut butter, and gum drops. Yummy! There will be no Kinder Kafe this Friday due to the holiday!
